2026 RHINO CUP 3V3 WINTER CLASSIC INFORMATION

Here are the highlights:

Teams must register a team name, player names, and division

6 players per team

8 teams max per division (registration is first come, first served)

3 games guaranteed

Half-ice games (goal line to blue line), touch-up at the blue line

Games consist of two 20-minute running-time periods

BEFORE EACH GAME, TEAM CAPTAINS PICKS A CHIP, EITHER A #1 OR #2 chip, TO DETERMAIN WHAT TEAM STARTS THE GAME. IF TEAM A STARTS THE GAME WITH THE PUCK. THEN TEAM B WILL GET THE PUCK THE START OF THE 2ND PERIOD.

THE TEAM THAT PULLS AN #1 CHIP. THAT TEAM GETS THE PUCK TO START THE GAMES.

 AT THE START OF THE GAME. ON THE REFS WHISTLE. TEAMS HAVE 5 SECONDS TO BRING THE PUCK INTO THE ZONE.

IF TEAM (A) SCORES A GOAL OR IF THE TEAM (A) IS STOPPED BY THE GOALIE. THE GOALIE WILL LET TEAM (B) TAKE THE PUCK FROM THE GOALIE TO NUTURAL ZONE. WITH OUT ANY INTERUPTION FROM THE OTHER TEAM (A).  THEN THE DEFENSIVE TEAM TURNS TO THE OFFENSIVE TEAM. AND THE OFFENSIVE TEAM TURNS INTO THE DEFENSIVE TEAM. THE OFFENSIVE TEAM WILL HAVE 5 SECONDS TO BRING THE PUCK INTO THE OFFENSIVE ZONE.

THEN THE TEAM THAT WAS PLAYING DEFENSE WILL HAVE 5 SECONDS TO TAKE THE PUCK OUT TO NUTURAL ZONE THEN BRING BACK INTO THE ZONE TO SCORE.

THE DEFENSIVE TEAM NEED TO BRING THE PUCK TO NUTRUAL ZONE AFTER TAKING CONTROL OF PLAY BEFORE A TEAM CAN SCORE. IF THE OFFENSIVE TEAM LOSSES CONTROL DURING PLAY, THE OFFENSIVE TEAM STILL CAN STILL TRY TO SCORE. SINCE THEY STILL HAVE CONTOL OF THE PUCK.

GAMES on half ice, GOAL LINE TO BLUE LINE

Touch up on Blue line.

Tie games will be a 5 minute overtime to determine the winner.

STILL A TIE AFTER OT. THEN SUDDEN DEATH SHOOT OUT

Puck possession alternates by period (chip draw before the game)

Teams have 5 seconds to enter the offensive zone when gaining possession

5-minute overtime for tie games, followed by sudden-death shootout if still tied

teams provide thier own Dark and light jerseys.

Goalies provided for each division

AAU/USA Hockey rules and Code of Conduct enforced

Referee assigned to every game; penalties will be called (player serves penalty, (by leaving the ice) a substitute comes on still 3v3)

Silent auction during the tournament
